The Withlacochee ride will begin on April 6 at 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. with a Mix and Mingle outside the Central Motel at 721 Highway 41S, Inverness, Florida 34450. (352) 726 4515. It is B.Y.O.B and an optional snack to share. Ride leaders will announce April 7 rides with distances and start times. After all rides are presented, riders will indicate their ride choice. This 46 mile paved trail is an excellent opportunity for a century, or ride of any length through beautiful rural Florida. Dinners both nights are the responsibility of each rider. Googling "Inverness Restaurants" will provide a long list of choices. Club members often favor: Stump Knockers, on the square, 110 W. Main St. (352) 726 2212, Angelo's Pizzeria, 301 W. Main St.(352) 341 0056, A Touch of Italy, 455 E. Highland Blvd. (352) 637 0002, McLeod House (Name changed to Oscar Penn's) 207 N. Apopka Ave. (352) 419 6354, and Lakeside Grill, 4543 Windmill Dr. (352) 419 4560. Whatever your choice, reservations for both nights are required. The goal because of COVID, is for small groups seated outside as opposed to large groups seated inside at a single table. You might consider take out meals in your room or a picnic. Breakfast for April 7 could be food you brought, Cinnamon Sticks Restaurant near the Motel, or another nearby restaurant. After the ride, ice cream will be served at the Motel pool from 4:00 to 5:30, and then dinner per your reservations.
Before you check out, be sure to register for March 29 and 30, 2023, for next year. We have enjoyed the Hen House Cafe, 206 Tompkins St. for departure breakfast.
Thank you for joining us. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable ride.
