Join me on a ride up the Legacy Trail from Venice&#39;s Legacy Park to downtown Sarasota with a stop at RISE &amp; NYE&#39;S for freshly made New Orleans Style Beignets and coffee drinks. They also have bagels, ice cream sandwiches and much more. Rise &amp; Nye&#39;s purpose is to provide meaningful employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It&#39;s an inclusion revolution. This stop will be at the 20 mile mark. <br />The ride will be 40 easy miles at 15 mph up and back on the Legacy Trail with one short section on Sarasota City streets. This ride will give you the opportunity to ride on the new northern section of the trail from Clark Road to its terminus at Payne Park. The new trail has several restroom facilities along its route.<br /><br />I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A LARGE RUNNING/WALKING EVENT GOING ON AT LEGACY PARK AND THE TRAIL. WE WILL NEED TO USE CAUTION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE RIDE.<br /><br /><br />Please note: We may not return to the start point until after 12:00 depending on how long it takes to get served.
